All the right moves
Now you have succeeded in getting that hunk to come over and introduce himself. How do you keep him interested?
As I mentioned earlier, you have to be armed with good conversational skills as well, but this isn’t our topic. Enhance the power of your verbal skills with these subtle moves.
The handshake
Handshakes aren’t only meant for business. When you meet someone you are romantically interested in for the first time, make that handshake count,
Shake the person’s hand with energy, not strength. You are not trying to do business here. Reach out with your right hand. Linger for a while longer than your normal handshake. Finish the shake with a tiny, extra squeeze. Remember, not too tight but enough to let him feel the surge of energy. Lightly brush his palms with your fingers when you withdraw. This tells him that you are confident, warm and you feel an attraction towards him.
The turn
When your target approaches you and says him you must turn to face him and acknowledge receptively. You will naturally fall into conversation. Increasingly, you will find that your turn will progress from just turned heads to turned shoulders to turned torso, to a full face-to-face turn. The more fully turned you are, the more open you will be perceived.
The visual voyage
Let your eyes travel up and down – all over his face until his neck. Anything below is too much, too soon. Meet his gaze and concentrate on his eyes.
The Touch
The first touch is very powerful. Use it carefully and sparingly. Examples of subtle touch include brushing off lint your guy’s jacket, accidental brush reaching for the same thing, lightly touching his hand or forearm to make a point in a conversation. If he is receptive to your touch, you can do it again. Make sure to execute it fleetingly, almost imperceptibly.
The Laugh
Laugh naturally. Nothing is more turning off than a fake laugh. And when you do, try tilting your head slightly forward, revealing your neck. Most men find this move sexier than a controlled laughter and giggles.
The Synchronization
When you and your man find that you ”click“, at least for the moment, you will find that you move in synchronicity with one another. Sometimes, this is unconscious, but hey, who said you can’t make it a conscious act. This is called pacing or mirroring. Subtly move in the same way as he does. Reach for your glasses at the same time and put it down at the same time. Sway in the same body movement to the music. If your man reads his magazines, he would probably be trying to do the same thing. The result is an almost fully synchronized movement that says, ”We are so much alike. I like you“.
The Hair Flip
Your hair is one of your great flirting tools that you carry with you all the time. If you have long hair, you can flip it or run your fingers through it. When seated, you can twirl it with your fingers in a natural way, without looking like you are nervous and fidgety, Remember, though, brushing or combing your hair in full view of others is not sexy.
The Hand Motions
No matter how sexy your gaze is, if you don’t know what to do with your hands, all your efforts may be wasted. Should I remind you to never cross your arms? This signals unapproachability. Instead, do rhythmic movements with your hands. When holding your drink, subtly run your fingers up and down the stem of your glass. If you are holding a key, play with it in rhythmic motions. Experts say the most flirtatious part of the hand is the inner wrist. Any movement that exposes your inner wrist can be very sexy.
The Dangling Shoe
If you are seated and wearing an easily removable shoe, dangle it from toes towards your flirting partner. Caution: this is a very sensual move and must not be attempted if you are not ready to proceed to a more intimate level.
The Leg Cross
If you think you have great legs, go ahead, draw attention to them! Execute the leg cross seductively.
Sit with your feet together directly in front of you. Then, move your knees 10 to 15 degrees off center without moving your feet and torso. Cross the leg so that the other leg, which remains on the floor, is tucked inside. Next, move your body so that the leg on top points towards your flirting partner. Point your toe downward to complete the look. Hold this pause for a while, then cross your legs in the opposite direction.
The Walk
You won’t always be seated or standing, right? You may have to excuse yourself for a while to go to the ladies. Once you have attracted your man, you can be sure that he will watch you when you do the walk.
Stand straight, with your chest out and tucking your tummy in. Walk by placing feet almost directly in front of each other. If you can pull it, add a subtle hip sway. Remember, do not look back if you are simply taking a break and would be back.
However, if you are already making an exit, cast him a quick glance sideways, with your head slightly lowered and flash him a broad smile.
The Sparkling Eyes
This works well in low or candlelit places. Look directly into your man’s eyes. Hold the look. Keep your eyes open past the natural impulse to blink. This will cause your tear ducts to water and give your eyes that sparkling, shimmering look.
The Movie Star Sit
Many women lose their poise the moment they get into the car. Whether you are driving or he is just opening the door for you to take your seat, sit with poise.
With your feet together, sit into the car butt first. Then pivot slowly, lift legs. Feet still together, toes pointed. Turn your body and settle into the seat carefully.
When getting off the car, reverse the process. Turn your body, and then pivot gracefully. With Feet together, get off the car into the ground. This not only looks proper and dignified but also very sexy.
